The twelfth hummingbird in flight series, “Celebration” is a little different than my usual mosaic-like style. This painting along with its sibling No.13 have a more whimsical, lighter feeling. I didn’t want to risk overworking the small canvases, and I’m glad I didn’t. You can still see the movement conveyed, but the dots almost resemble airborne confetti rather than mosaic, which I enjoyed for these pieces. Originally painted 14”x14” acrylic on canvas. Option the add gold embellishment.
